So just wanted to sign up and let you know that ~50-60% is a low number as I mayself have had a 500% fail rate. That’s right 5 of my xbox360s have failed and just receved my 6th in the mail.

Prenote all x360s where laid down on a wood shelf with full open air on all side.

I didn't even buy in at launch, got my first in winter of 2005. It lasted about a year tell it locked up playing test drive unlimited. Not even red ring but pink/black checkers. #2 was the replacement console and out of the box from the replacement center didn't work, the ethernet port was faulty or just not plugged in. #3 died 4 months after I receved it from repair, red ring. At this point I perchested an elite while #3 was in repair. The replacement came back and sold it to a friend, it failed 6 months later and he is on his 3ed console sense and for this list I’m not counting his 2 fails. #4 elite died 1 year later, full lock up no rings and #5 red rings last week.
