Electronic Arts Lays off 10% of Staff, Closes 9 Facilities

Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that due to economic concerns, they're laying off 1,000 employees and are closing Black Box Studios and 8 other locations.  This is a larger cut than was previously announced (6%), and will begin affecting people by March.

The downsizing move should save EA approximately $120 Million per year.
