from gameinformer.com:
According to EdgeOnline.com, EK publisher SCi has dropped its name in favor of the more recognizable Eidos moniker. Edge reports that the publisher filed a request to switch names with the Registrar of Companies only yesterday, and has now taken the name officially.
Both SCi and Eidos have been in the news this week, with rumors of a possible takeover by interested parties – namely Ubisoft and EA – working their way around the web. While the rumors have not been confirmed, it is now obvious that SCi is in the moving and shaking mood. More details as we get them.
hm...as a huge fan of the hitman series, eidos' other big franchise aside from tomb raider, i would rather see ubisoft get this than EA. ive been reading about the 5th installment of the hitman series being worked on since july, so we'll see what happens. GO UBISOFT!!!
