Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group announced the acquisition of Snowblind Studios, an independent development house based in Seattle, WA. Snowblind Studios is most known for the multiplatform Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance and Justice League Heroes.

“This is a good fit for Warner Bros. and Snowblind Studios,” said Kevin Tsujihara, President of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group. “The arrangement broadens our portfolio with quality games and provides Snowblind with access to our global distribution and publishing capabilities. Snowblind has a great reputation and we are pleased to welcome them into the Warner Bros. family.”

Snowblind Studios will become the third development studio under the Warner Bros. umbrella along with Monolith Productions and TT Games. Warner Bros. seems committed to providing games with distinct appeal, as recent projects include the Mature-rated F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (in conjunction with Monolith Production) and kid-friendly Lego Batman: The Videogame.

last i knew, warner bros. was also in the market for purchase eidos. they make the tomb raider series, and my favorite the hitman series. sadly, EA and Square Enix are also in the running for eidos. i just hope its not EA.
